Mom. Mother. Momma.
Whatever you call her, she’s special. Super-special. The kind of special they really don’t have a word for; but you try to explain it anyway-kind of special.
She’s responsible for you being on this earth and she loved you like no one else. Sure, Dad, your siblings, extended family; they all love you too.
But, no one quite like Momma.
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, we thought we’d take a minute to stroll around Phone Surgeons® Headquarters in Newburgh, IN to ask the surgeons and non-surgeon staffers what mom means to them.
Here they are – quoted in their own words.
“I’m sure most people give their mother’s credit for who they’ve become and what they’ve accomplished in life… well, my mother literally is responsible for me being where I am today. My Mother choose to adopt me as a baby, bringing me into her life and her family and instilling morals and core values in me. Core Values that make up the foundation of Phone Surgeons® and serve as our guiding principals. Not to mention she’s been my right hand admin for the last four years…She assists many of our Phone Surgeons clients on a daily basis; unfortunately like a lot of mother’s hard work behind the scenes doesn’t get the credit or recognition they deserve. Here’s to celebrating Mothers 365 days a year!” -Chris Jourdan, CEO/Founder
“My mom is my best friend and the strongest most beautiful women on the planet. She is a wonderful example of a real woman and mother. When I grow up I want to be just like her. Seriously.” -Lindsay Jourdan, Chief Customer Officer
“My mom has always been a huge part of my life. She has always been there for me, no matter how many stupid things I’ve done. We are extremely close, we talk everyday and have what I believe to be a relationship that every son and mother should share. She is always there to listen, and offer her two cents (whether I want to hear it or not). She is everything a good mother should be, and I thank God everyday for blessing me with her. ” -Dr. Drew Moore, Chief Surgeon
“My wife would tell you that I’m the ultimate Momma’s Boy, that I’m spoiled, and all that jazz; and it’s true. She means the world to me. Mom was always there to provide, pick me up, or even just to provide an ear. It’s interesting, because, as a child, you feel the love, you see her giving her heart and soul, but you really do not understand the weight of it all until you get older. I don’t know how she did it. If I can be half the parent she was to me, I will have considered myself a resounding success…” -Dave Huffman, VP Digital Strategy
“My mother means the world to me. She is the one person I know that I can go to for advice and will keep it real. She always tells it how it is and has always had my back. I love my mom to death. I don’t know where I would be without her.” -Dr. Marshall Hadley, Phone Surgeon
We here at Phone Surgeons® send out a big ol’ Happy Mother’s Day to you mommas out there. We love you more than words can say, but we felt we should at least try to capture it all somehow.
Thank you for all you do.
