In keeping with Phone Surgeons® primary mission to become the most trusted brand in smartphone repair™, we have always pledged to do what we can to positively impact the environment.
But, how can we help achieve that? As a phone repair brand?
You got it – by helping to eliminate eWaste.
If you don’t know much about eWaste, it is a huge problem. Consider these facts from DoSomething.org:
- eWaste makes up about 2% of our landfills; yet contributes to over 70% of the toxic waste
- For every 1 million cell phones that are recycled, 35,274 lbs of copper, 772 lbs of silver, 75 lbs of gold, and 33 lbs of palladium can be recovered.
With that, from the World Headquarters of Phone Surgeons®, Inc. in Newburgh, IN we are proud to announce a phone parts recycling partnership with C & I Electronics.
C&I Electronics is an ISO 14001:2004 local/regional electronics recycler located in Evansville Indiana. They offer recycling services to both business and residents.
100% of the broken parts that are replaced by Phone Surgeons® will be recycled by C&I, right here at their U.S. based facility, not overseas in some factory somewhere.
So every time, Dr. McNeely, Dr. Moore, or any of our Emergency Mobile Technicians fix your device, you can get a double-extra warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that your old parts are not contributing to the global waste problem.
Makes us feel good too. Makes the planet feel even better.
Reduce, reuse, and repair – responsibly.
